BODIES OF FIVE INDIANS KILLED IN AGNI AIR CRASH HANDED OVER TO LOVED ONES Kathmandu, 16 May: Bodies of eight Indian nationals, who died in a plane crash in Jomsom on Monday, have been handed over to their families, RSS reports. The bodies were handed-over on Wednesday to their families in the presence of officials of the Indian Embassy after postmortem at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj. Preparations are underway to send the remaining five bodies to India tomorrow [Thursday], according to the Indian Embassy. Fifteen people including two crew members died in a plane crash of Agni Air while it was making its flight to Jomsom from Pokhara. There were a total of 21 people including three crew members in the plane.Six persons were rescued alive from the incident site. nnnn PM BHATTARAI’S REPLACEMENT BY 27 MAY SAYS UML LEADER OLI Kathmandu, 16 May: CPN-UML leader KP Sharma Oli has said another national consensus government would be formed within May 27, RSS reports. At a programme organised in the capital on the occasion of the Nineteenth Madan-Ashrit memorial day on Wednesday, leader Oli said his party joined the Bhattarai-led government in order to change it and create conducive atmosphere to promulgate constitution. The recent political agreement has paved way to bringing constitution within May 27, he said, adding that the constitution of any kind should be internalised at this transition and the country taken ahead. Similarly, leader Oli said all Nepalese belonging to diverse caste, culture, and language need to be united to keep intact the national unity and integrity and social harmony. Central member of the party Rajendra Shrestha said as the UML lost Madan Bhandari, a prominent leader who propounded people's multiparty democracy; the UML came to this miserable state. He underscored the need to internalise the people's multiparty democracy by the UML. Moreover, UML Chairman at constituency no.7 in Kathmandu, Bishnu Aryal said the party organisation was weakening day by day because the party failed to reach the Madan Bhandari's principles to the cadres' level. nnnn RALLY FOR SOCIAL HARMONY IN DHANGADI Kathmandu, 16 May: A rally was held in Dhangadhi on Wednesday, calling for social harmony in the country, RSS reports from Dhangadi. The rally was organised in the context of ongoing bandhs or shutdowns, strikes and protest demonstrations enforced by different groups have posed a threat to the communal and social harmony in the country. A large number of people joined the rally taken out at the initiative of various local organisations. The procession passed through town areas in the district, stressing the need of keeping the social harmony intact. It may be noted that normal life in the entire far- western region including in Kailali has been paralysed due to continuous shutdown enforced by different groups some in support of the Undivided Far-west and while some others for guarantee of the Tharuhat province in the region.
