UML CHAIRMAN KHANAL SAID SUPREME COURT MOVE UNFORTUNATE

UML CHAIRMAN ACCUSES SUPREME COURT CLOSING DOOR TO JUSTICE
Kathmandu, 28 Dec.: UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal Wednesday charged supreme court for closing its doors to justice.
‘Closing the gate while going to seek justice is unfortunate,’ :Khanal told reporters Wednesday referring to Tuesday’s administrative rejection of petitions of the Office of the Prime Minister and Parliament Secretariat seeking review of a landmark November verdict saying the six-month extension would be the last.
Law Minister Brijesh Gupta said Wednesday government will ask for a review of the decision at the supreme court.

WOMAN DIES AFTER APPARENT THRASHING

Kathmandu, 28 Dec.: A woman died in a mysterious condition at Bagada VDC of Mahottari district on Wednesday, RSS reports from Gaushala.

The deceased has been identified as Binita Devi Mallik, wife of Narayan Mallik, of Madhepura Dam Tole of Bagada VDC-9, according to the District Police Office.

Father of the deceased, Jogindra Mallik, told police that Binita Devi died this [ Wednesday]morning after the husband of the deceased, Narayan and father-in-law thrashed her whole night.

Meanwhile, the family of the deceased said that Binita died after she consumed poison.

A team lead by Police-Inspector Suraj Khadka at the District Police Office, Mahottari, has reached at the incident site to carry out investigation into the case.
