Crucial Maoist politburo meeting rescheduled

Kathmandu, 15 June: A crucial of a Maoist politburo scheduled for Monday was rescheduled for Tuesday at the final moment.
Maoist YCL have closed down the Valley Monday to protest what they call the murder of their district leader Rajendra Phuyal.

Clashes again break out in Kalikot

Kathmandu, 15 June: After a night curfew was lifted at Kalikot district headquarters, Maoists again launched an attack on the CPN-UML office Monday morning destroying party documents.
Maoists said dozen of their activists were injured in Youth Force attacks.
District administration slapped a curfew Sunday night after violent clashes between Maoist and CPN-UML workers during anti-government and anti-president Maoist protests.
Maoists Monday closed seven districts in Seti and Makali anchals protesting the action of the president to retain the army chief.

Girija imposed Sujata unilaterally on a party committee: Ram Chandra Paudel

Kathmandu, 15 June: Congress Vice-President Ram Chandra Paudel revealed Monday President Girija Prasad Koirala unilaterally imposed daughter Sujata on a task force selecting the party team in the Madhav Kumar Nepal government.
The task force consisted of Paudel, Sushil Koirala, and Sher Bahadur Deuba, the vice-president said.
“OK. Declare Sujata, Then, he didn’t agree to my reaction. It’s not our wish that the only daughter of Girijababu shouldn’t enter politics or be established in the party.
“But the attempt to establish her by leapfrogging hasn’t been taken normally,” Paudel said in an interview in Nagarik.
Paudel said Deuba didn’t object.
“I don’t know what personal benefit he saw,”
Paudel said other members of the Congress government team wasn’t made by the task force as well.
“When her [Sujata’s] name appeared, everything went haywire,” Paudel said.
Paudel declared his candidature for the leadership of the postponed Congress parliamentary party.
Paudel said he pushed for a ‘senior person’ to lead the Congress government team and added ‘he [Gachedhar] wanted deputy prime minister if a senior Congress leader wasn’t going.’

Indian doctor extracts kidney from Nepali suffering stomach ailment

Kathmandu, 15 June: A patient lost his life when an Indian doctor extracted a kidney of a patient suffering a stomach ailment, RSS reports from Kanchanpur.
Raju Chandharu, 32, died and the hospital took Irs 150,000 form the family.
He went for treatment at the trauma center in Lucknow in Falgun.
