Maoists, CPN-UML to form task force to investigate murder of student leader

Kathmandu, 30 March: Coalition communist partners CPN-UML and Maoists Monday agreed to constitute a task force to investigate the murder of a CPN-UML student leader in Butwal Thursday.
CPN-UML charged Maoists for the murder threatening to quit government.
The agreement to form the task force indicates CPN-UML demand is just a threat for public consumption.

Maoists use combatants in UNMIN camps as domestic servants

Kathmandu, 30 March: The use of lower level Nepal Army and police personnel as domestic servants has been scaled down after the declaration of a republic, Tarun reports.
But Maoists in government continue employing combatants in cantonments.
[Note: The report says senior Maoist ministers and leaders Hishila Yami,
CP Gajurel, Barsha Man Pun, Netra Bikran Chand and other leaders employ combatants as domestic servants paying them government salaries. The report claims at least 35 Maoist leaders are employing domestic servants even as Maoists say others are feudals.]
