Violence continues; other details

Kathmandu, 22 March: Election-related violence continued Saturday with constituent election just 19 days away.
Maoists for the third time disrupted a meeting of CPN-UML in Ramechap attacking candidates of its main communist rival
After CPN (Maoist) overnight banned conservative RPP from campaigning in Dhankuta, east Nepal, the conservative party said in a statement Saturday free, fair and impartial election wasn’t possible.
"Election is necessary to give the country new historic direction," Koirala said but Maoist leader Baburam Bhattarau told an election rally in the far-West increasing violence may disrupt the 10 April assembly poll.

Rhino population jumps

Kathmandu, 22 March: Despite heavy poaching of the endangered one-horned for its skin and horn, the population of the herd in Chitwan National Park has increased to 400 plus.
Three years ago the population was for was 372.
A two-week census concludes Sunday.
The census was conducted this year in three years instead of the normal five years.
A small population has been trans-located to Bardiya National Bark in the far-West from Chitwan to same the species from possible extinction in an epidemic.
